Danny Lee “Blackwell” originally from Dallas, Texas founded Night Beats in 2009 when James Traeger moved from Austin, Texas to Seattle, Washington. Named as an homage to Sam Cooke’s Magnum Opus[3] the then 2-piece picked up Tarek Wegner who was living in Seattle. The Night Beats toured extensively early on completing multiple North American tours during 2010 and were signed within weeks of self releasing their debut EP, the H-Bomb EP. Picked up by Chicago’s Trouble in Mind Records (Ty Segall, Fresh and Only’s, Hex Dispensers, etc.).They have toured with groups such as The Black Angels (band) (in the UK, Europe and U.S.), Roky Erickson, The Zombies, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Strange Boys, Black Lips, and the The Growlers. In 2011, they released a split between The UFO Club and Night Beats on Austin’s Reverberation Appreciation Society label. In April 2011, the Seattle-based art collective Portable Shrines along with Translinguistic Other released Portable Shrines Magic Sound Theater Vol. 1 on the Light In The Attic Records label, a deluxe double LP featuring rare and exclusive tracks from Night Beats, Eternal Tapestry, Prince Rama, AFCGT, and other established and up and coming psychedelic acts curated by Seattle’s Portable Shrines Collective. On June 28, 2011 Trouble In Mind released the Night Beats Self Titled Debut LP. Formed in Summer 2009 by Alexander Ahmadi & Derek Cowart, Cosmonauts offer a glimpse of drug-addled Southern Californian rock n roll in the 21st century. Inspired in equal parts by polo-shirts and MDMA, this four-piece garage-trance outfit has garnered a reputation of amps dialed to ten and lullaby meltdowns with both audiences and contemporaries. Supporting established acts at home & abroad such as The Growlers, The Black Angels, Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees, The Beach Fossils & more.Defined by critics as “Beach Boys on downers” & “how Lou Reed wound up wearing that dog collar”, these pop-loving, feedback-chasing drop-outs have been releasing records and touring North America and Europe at breakneck speed. Releasing material with labels like Burger Records, Austin’s Reverberation Appreciation Society & more. Not to mention a handful of 7” singles released by European & Californian labels. Last year they followed up heir rattling, echo-drenched 2011 debut self-titled LP(Permanent Records) with 2012’s If You Wanna Die Then I Wanna Die, released by local-Fullertonian label Burger Records. Both LPs recorded in a rennovated Anaheim warehouse, in viewing distance of Disneyland’s nightly fireworks.Cosmonauts will be headlining a European Tour in August 2013 followed by a North American Tour with The Growlers in Fall 2013. In support of their newest LP, Persona Non Grata. Released August 20th 2013 by Burger Records. Dahga Bloom bio: “Imagine a David Lynch movie based in Romania. Got it? Now imagine that the movie is about a village full of vampires who must leave their settlement once a year and head into a major city to feed. Got it?That’s what this band sounds like.”-Jungle RotListen to Creatura: http://creatura.bandcamp.com/ Listen to The Oblios: https://www.facebook.com/theobliosListen to Proper Yarn: https://www.facebook.com/properyarnThttps://twitter.com/ProperYarn
